*PARENTING: TO TRAIN UP A CHILD IN THE WAY OF THE LORD*(Series 5) *Scripture Reading:* Proverbs 29:15 Continuation from where I stopped yesterday. *God will never give you a gift that will make you cry. Therefore, if He says your children are a blessing then, He will make His Word good in your life.* But sometimes, the devil takes advantage of our ignorance on how well to train a child. *But, If you have ever experienced sorrow over your children before, Today mark the end of that sorrow over that child in Jesus name. Maybe, you have children that are problematic or they are like “thorns” in your flesh. Today, I pray that God’s power will reach them, no matter how troublesome they are, God will turn their lives around for good in Jesus’ mighty name.* IN TRAINING CHILDREN, THERE ARE THINGS TO NOTE: *1) Training up a child is more than disciplining:* In case there’s any confusion, parents must train. *Parents are responsible for their children, for shaping and molding their character. A child left to his own devices will fail miserably.* Children need parents to help them develop. And this involves more than punishing bad behavior. Training is consistently modeling behaviors that we want our children to adopt. TRAINING IS: *: Listening;* No matter what you are going through or how busy you are, develop a listening habit with your children. *Sometimes, this children have important things to share with you as mother or father but you silent them. By so doing, they will gradually stop talking to you and that will be the beginning of trouble in their lives.* *: Talking;* Parents must cultivate the habit of talking to their children. *Don't give room for outsiders to replace your role of talking with your children.* Your children should be your best friends that you talk with everytime and this will result into a close relationship. *: Having Fun;* It's not a sin to allow your children to be having fun. Infact, as parents, always take them out once in a while, to experience new things, meet with people, learning good moral and so on. *: Practicing Good Behavior;* It's the duty of parents to teach their children on behave. *Teaching them how to great people, how to reply an elderly people, praying position, eating manners, laughing manners and so on.* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
