*JOSEPH AND POTIPHAR'S WIFE.*(Series 3) *Scripture Reading:* Genesis 39:14-15 *"she called her household servants. "Look," she said to them, "this Hebrew has been brought to us to make sport of us! He came in here to sleep with me, but I screamed. When he heard me scream for help, he left his cloak beside me and ran out of the house."*(Genesis 39:14-15) Take note of this: *Each person and their actions can teach us something and God uses these people in the Bible as instruction for us.* Sometimes, you can't do without them, you relate with them everyday but can only be guided by the help of the Holy Spirit. *So, what can we learn from the actions of Potiphar’s wife?* There are always going to be people out there that want to cause us to sin. *They will do their best to pull us away from God's original plan.* And if you are not caution and guided by God's word and Holy Spirit, you will eventually go off track in fulfilling destiny. Potiphar’s wife was doing just that, trying to cause Joseph to sin because of her attraction to him. *Do you know how many people that are attracted to your fair, beauty, handsomeness, character, gift and talent, fame e.t.c.* And if you are not grounded in the word of God and carry His presence, you will fall to their hands. *To remain people of integrity means that we will sometimes offend others. Joseph wanted to respect his master, but in return he offended the master’s wife.* There will be times when we need to do the right thing, even if it’s unpopular. Also, Potiphar’s wife demonstrates to us that sin and evil are everywhere. Sin is not based on economics or social classes. Sin is everywhere and we need to make sure that we guard against it. Joseph was focused on God. He didn’t let his emotions or desires control the situation. *In the same way, we need to be focused on God and Christ so we don’t let our emotions and desires control us.* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
