*YOUR HUSBAND IS A KING, TREAT HIM AS ONE.*(Series 9) *Scripture Reading:* Ephesians 5:22, 24 *"Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as [a service] to the Lord"*(Ephesians 5:22) *"But as the church is subject to Christ, so also wives should be subject to their husbands in everything [respecting both their position as protector and their responsibility to God as head of the house]."*(Ephesians 5:24 AMP) Welcome to another beautiful week, we thank God for His Grace and mercy. You will have good reason to say THANK YOU JESUS at the end of the week in Jesus Christ name. We started looking at WHY SHOULD I SUBMIT (WIFE)TO MY HUSBAND? We shall continue from where we stopped yesterday. *2) IT'S THE COMMANDMENT OF GOD:* One of the strategy of the devil is to see that we always go against God's will because he knew that that's the only way he can manipulate our destiny. 1 Peter 3:5-6 declare: *"For in this way in former times the holy women, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands and adapting themselves to them; just as Sarah obeyed Abraham [following him and having regard for him as head of their house], calling him lord. And you have become her daughters if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear [that is, being respectful toward your husband but not giving in to intimidation, nor allowing yourself to be led into sin, nor to be harmed]."* You can't fulfill part of the law and to be an obedient child, you must fulfill all. This is the will of God that all wives should SUBMIT to their own Husbands *in everything* just as the church SUBMIT to Christ. Underline the word *'IN EVERYTHING.'* What does that mean to you? Meaning, in all situations, SUBMIT to him. *Sometimes even when his wrong, you must first SUBMIT before proofing your points.* Some wives only SUBMIT to their husbands when his financially fit and responding to all bills. But when things slightly change, do you also SUBMIT to him? *Especially when it's now your turn to stand in the gap when his financially stranded, you pay bills and all that, will you still SUBMIT to him as unto the Lord?* You must be a loving wife and lover of God's word in fulfilling your marital vow in your holy matrimony. God is still looking out for a virtuous woman like mummy Sarah calling her husband Lord and release herself to him in all things. *The standard of God will not change, you are not the Head but HELPMEET. Your husband is the Head as Christ is the Head of the church.* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
