*YOUR HUSBAND IS A KING, TREAT HIM AS ONE.*(Series 10) *Scripture Reading:* 1 Samuel 25:2-42 *"Now the name of the man was Nabal; and the name of his wife Abigail: and she was a woman of good understanding, and of a beautiful countenance: but the man was churlish and evil in his doings; and he was of the house of Caleb."*(1 Samuel 25:3 KJV). We are still considering why should I (Wife) SUBMIT to my husband: *3) IT'S YOUR DUTY:* Every other thing can change but God's standard remain firm and it's unchangeable. God has arranged marriage in a perfect way right from the beginning and the standard still remain the same till the end of the world. *"just as Sarah obeyed Abraham [following him and having regard for him as head of their house], calling him lord. And you have become her daughters if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear [that is, being respectful toward your husband but not giving in to intimidation, nor allowing yourself to be led into sin, nor to be harmed]."*(1 Peter 3:6 AMP) Amplifier Version clearly state thus: *"Just as Sarah obeyed Abraham; following him and having regards for him as head of their house, calling him lord."* Note the word 'FOLLOWING HIM AND HAVING REGARDS FOR HIM AS HEAD OF THEIR HOUSE'. This is the level at which God want all His daughter to be, accepting the man as the head of the house no matter your level of education, status, connection or family background, you must see him as the head of the house. Today's Scripture explained how Sister Abigail got married to a man called Brother Nabal whom the Bible described as a harsh and evil fellow. *But despite that, Sister Abigail still love him and see him as the head of the house and render to him her duty as his wife.* Even when brother Nabal misbehave and acted foolishly, she is so submissive to the extent of covering up for her husband to King David with her intelligent act. She has every right to be silent about the matter but she knew that if King David should come with his anger, her husband will die. *She do all she could to safe his life because the man is the head of the house and that's her portion.* This is a woman that has gone a lot from the hand of brother Nabal but yet, she was submissive and see how the Lord vindicated her at last. *Be a woman of wisdom and never you expose the nakedness of your husband come what may.* Remember, he is your husband and that's your portion.
