*PRIDE AND ITS CONSEQUENCES.*(Series 7) *Scripture Reading:* Isaiah 2:11 *"The proud look of man will be degraded And the arrogance of men will be humbled, And the Lord alone will be exalted in that day."*(AMP) Don't forget we're still considering the subtle signs that shows you're operating in PRIDE: *18) Want to be served rather than to serve:* A proud someone is always noticed at any where either at church, office, social gathering or even at home. Sending people errands has become a lifestyle, finding it difficult to serve but always want to be served. *19) Bragging about what you have and what you do, being a show off:* When you're operating in PRIDE, take note of this, bragging of what's not will always be your concern. You want everyone to know every new things you acquired or done even though it doesn't what showing off. *20) Lack of prayer and praise time with God:* A proud heart doesn't have time to pray or worship his or her Maker. Even in the church, they pretend as if everything is ok whereas fire is burning underneath. But the pride in them will keep on silencing them till death. May this not be your portion in Jesus Christ name. These are all subtle signs that you’re operating in PRIDE. If any of these signs represent you, you need to repent. Ask God to forgive you for operating in pride and to give you a heart of humility. *Humility says: “I am NOTHING without God and I can do NOTHING without God.”* After we ask God to forgive us and change us, we need to put some safeguards in place to prevent ourselves from giving into pride. Safeguards For Pride: *1) SUBMISSION:* We are all called to be submission to God as addressed in James 4:7; *"So submit to [the authority of] God. Resist the devil [stand firm against him] and he will flee from you."*(AMP). Also, submission to God's authority brings freedom. It sets order and direction in our everyday lives for those found in Christ. And what is to follow is unimaginable blessing for those who are obedient. To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
