Scripture Reading: Leviticus 10:1-3

“Now Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took their respective [ceremonial] censers, put fire in them, placed incense on it and offered strange (unauthorized, unacceptable) fire before the Lord, [an act] which He had not commanded them to do. And fire came out from the presence of the Lord and devoured them, and they died before the Lord. Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord said: ‘I will be treated as holy by those who approach Me, And before all the people I will be honored.’ So Aaron, therefore, said nothing.”(AMP)

Glory to God in the highest for yet another gift of life and privilege of seeing what’s going on around us, welcoming you to fresh week and may His name forever be lifted in Jesus Christ name. In this series, the Holy Spirit will revealing truth on how we offer strange fire on the Lord’s altar.

The offering of strange fire is a biblical incidence we must not overlook as long as God’s kingdom is concerned. As the children of the most high, we must be sensitive and careful in our service unto God. God is not a respecter of persons. When we deviate from following the biblical lay down principles in discharging our duties, we’ll end up provoking “strange fire” upon our lives and destinies.

As believers, especially as God’s ministers, we need to get this clear enough, the fact that somethings are right doesn’t mean they are or will be acceptable by God. The scripture above explained how Aron’s two sons, Nadab and Abihu offered unauthorized fire before the Lord which is contrary to His command. And didn’t spare them, they both died in the presence of the Lord. To be continue tomorrow morning by God’s Grace. Good morning and do have a fruitful week, peace.

Prayer point: Father, I thank you for revealing your word once again to me and i plead for mercy in any area of my life I have offered strange fire unto on your altar in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
