Scripture Reading: 1 Samuel 15:22

Samuel said,

“Has the Lord as great a delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices As in obedience to the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, And to heed [is better] than the fat of rams. “For rebellion is as [serious as] the sin of divination (fortune-telling), And disobedience is as [serious as] false religion and idolatry. Because you have rejected the word of the Lord, He also has rejected you as king.”(AMP)

Disobedient, in this context simply mean working contrary to divine instructions. And God is no a man that He should lie, there’s always a ‘painful’ results of disobedience. As we go deep in the teaching, I will be showing more light with you on the consequences of disobeying divine instructions. May the Lord give us great light in Jesus Christ name.

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14, declare; “Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil.” God has always required obedience from all His children because in obeying and keeping divine instructions is simply total Submission to God.

“And Samuel said, “Hath the Lord as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the voice of the Lord? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hearken than the fat of rams” (I Sam. 15:22). Also, Hebrew 5:8-9 says; “Though he were a Son, yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered; And being made perfect, he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him.”

Leviticus 10:1-2 described the incident of Aaron sons and how they go against God’s instructions and the instant result. “And Nadab and Abihu, the sons of Aaron, took either of them his censer, and put fire therein, and put incense thereon, and offered strange fire before the Lord, which he commanded them not. And there went out fire from the Lord, and devoured them, and they died before the Lord.” The ONLY fire that God allowed to be used to burn the sacrificial offerings was the fire from the altar. This fire was never to go out.

To be continue tomorrow morning by God’s Grace. Good morning and do have a fabulous weekend, peace.

Prayer point: In the name of Jesus Christ, I rebuke every manipulative spirit assigned to deceive me from keeping divine instructions in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
