Scripture Reading: Acts 9:36-41

“In Joppa there was a disciple named Tabitha (in Greek her name is Dorcas); she was always doing good and helping the poor.”(9:36 NIV)

“Peter went with them, and when he arrived he was taken upstairs to the room. All the widows stood around him, crying and showing him the robes and other clothing that Dorcas had made while she was still with them.”(9:39 NIV)

It’s a dangerous thing for any believer called a child of God and a follower of Jesus Christ the savior and yet purpose of living not discovered. Such fellow, as far as God is concerned, such person is a WASTE.

Hear this truth; many believers today are truly born again and decided to follow Christ to the end but the unfortunate thing is this, they are not concern about purpose but they’re truly saved. They’re very easy to identify in our fold: Always present at the Sunday school class, always available for the vigil and mid-week services, despite there availability, no obligation can be traced to them.

Judas Iscariot happened to be the minister of finance during Jesus ministry but unfortunately for him, he misused the office because he failed in discovering his primary assignment as a finance minister in the body of Christ. Infact, the scripture regarded him as a thief! What a WASTE. The same way many lives is wasting away by not discovering God’s plans and purpose for their lives.

Our scripture is the account of one of the disciple of Jesus Christ in Joppa named Tabitha but means Dorcas in Greek. She was a believer that discovered her purpose of living for Christ and not for her and her family alone. The moment a man discover his/her purpose in life, such person is no longer living for himself/herself but living for God and releasing everything for Him even though it cost his/her life. Will go deeper on this tomorrow morning by God’s Grace. Good morning and do have a great day, peace.

Prayer point: Holy Spirit, in you alone I can discover who you say I am. Help me not to be a waste in the kingdom in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
