Scripture Reading: Jeremiah 15:15-16

“O Lord, You know and understand; Remember me [thoughtfully], take notice of me, take vengeance for me on my persecutors. Do not, in view of Your patience, take me away; Know that for Your sake I endure [continual] rebuke and dishonor. Your words were found and I ate them, And Your words became a joy to me and the delight of my heart; For I have been called by Your name, O Lord God of hosts.”(AMP)

The word perpetual in this context mean, reoccurring unpleasant circumstances, indefinitely tough situation. Looking at the prayer of Jeremiah in today’s Scripture, we can deduce that, there’s an unpleasant circumstances that has become a reproach that’s now part of his life. And that was what led to verse 18 of the same scripture; “Why has my pain been perpetual And my wound incurable, refusing to be healed? Will you indeed be to me like a deceptive brook With water that is unreliable?”(AMP)

Have you ever walked through a situation in life that left you wondering why God would allow you to experience the hurt, pain or even discouragement? There is no doubt that some challenges in life are the result of poor choices, but for every believer, the reality is that we will walk through hardship and will experience pain for a short time, then come victory.

Jesus told us pain and suffering would be a part of our lives;
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” (John 16:33 AMP)

This is why Apostle Paul who experienced much pain and difficulty can boldly declare these words in Romans 8:28; “And we know [with great confidence] that God [who is deeply concerned about us] causes all things to work together [as a plan] for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His plan and purpose.”(AMP). There’s a great confidence we have in God because of His concern towards us. That even in our present pain, He makes everything work out for our good. To be continue tomorrow morning by God’s Grace. Good morning and do have a great day, peace.

Prayer point: I declare with faith that all things will work together for my good, even the present pain in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
