Scripture Reading: Psalm 16:5-6

“The Lord is the portion of my inheritance, my cup [He is all I need]; You support my lot. The [boundary] lines [of the land] have fallen for me in pleasant places; Indeed, my heritage is beautiful to me.”(AMP)

Continuation from where I stopped yesterday:

Lie (5): Sin will satisfy you: Sin would not be tempting if it didn’t promise us pleasure or satisfaction. After Satan lied to her, Eve looked at the fruit on the tree and it looked promising…. (Gen 3:6). Sin is sweet but it’s deadly. Those who are not satisfy with their wives or husbands believe the lies of the devil that someone else could satisfy them better.

Sin may “satisfy” us temporarily, but in the end, it leaves us unsatisfied and unhappy. This is where regret comes in. We must remember that the only one who can satisfy us is God. Psalm 103:5 says; “Who satisfies your years with good things, So that your youth is renewed like the [soaring] eagle”(AMP). Only the Lord satisfy a man with good things you can ever think of in life. Do not listen to the devil’s lies! The wages of sin is death.

Lie (6): Your sins have wrecked your relationship with God: God calls Satan “the accuser of the brethren”: (Revelation 12:10). After luring you into the act of sin, himself (Satan) accuses us day and night. He reminds us of our sins and failures. He wants us to focus on our sins, rather than the promises of the Savior, Jesus Christ. He wants us to forget the incredible truth that Jesus paid for every single one of our sins and that now…Romans 8:1 declared; “Therefore there is now no condemnation [no guilty verdict, no punishment] for those who are in Christ Jesus [who believe in Him as personal Lord and Savior].”(AMP). This is the truth the devil want to keep away from brethren that no more condemnation to them that are in Jesus Christ.

Satan lives to accuse us. If he can’t prevent Jesus from saving us, he will try to prevent us from enjoying what Christ has done for us. He is like a prosecuting attorney in a courtroom, who continually brings our sins up to the Judge. But every time he accuses us, our great Defense Attorney, Jesus, says, “Objection! Your honor, I paid for that sin on the cross.” To which the great Judge slams down his gavel and says, “Objection sustained! The defendant is not guilty!” Praise the Lord. To be continue tomorrow morning by God’s Grace. Good morning and do have a great day, peace.

Prayer Point: Praise be my defendant Jesus Christ who paid for my ignorance on the cross! Now am free from the yoke of sin in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
