*PAY ATTENTION TO GOD'S PROMISES RATHER THAN THE DEVIL'S LIES.*(Series 8) *Scripture Reading:* Romans 6:17-18 *"But thank God that though you were slaves of sin, you became obedient with all your heart to the standard of teaching in which you were instructed and to which you were committed. And having been set free from sin, you have become the slaves of righteousness [of conformity to God’s will and purpose]."*(AMP) Satan is the father of all liars and he knew that he has just a short time, the reason why he decides to deceive the world. Let's continue today: *Lie (7): You will never change:* Satan will lie to us that we can’t overcome our sins. That you're already in it, there's no going back. Continue your wayward lifestyle, continue your stealing, continue your abortion, continue backbiting, it doesn't matter. That we will never change. That we are hopeless and already decided where we're going. But God’s word tells us that we can change and we will change. According to our today's scripture (Romans 6:17-18) When we trust in Jesus Christ, he makes us new creations. We are no longer slaves of sin, but slaves of righteousness. *"I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]."* And Philippians 1:6 says; *"I am convinced and confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will [continue to] perfect and complete it until the day of Christ Jesus [the time of His return]."* He begins a good work in us, the good work of transforming us into his own likeness. He will not fail to complete this work. We must not believe Satan’s lies about who we are in Christ. How to fight against and overcome Satan’s lies: *1) Meditate on God’s Word, pray, and fellowship with the Lord:* Combat Satan’s lies with God’s word, the shield of faith and sword of the Spirit. When Satan tempted Jesus, he countered with God’s word, “It is written…” *"and he said to Him, “All these things I will give You, if You fall down and worship me.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go away, Satan! For it is written and forever remains written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and serve Him only."*(Matthew 4:9-10 AMP). To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
