*LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE.*(Series 1) *Scripture Reading:* Matthew 5:14-16 *"You are the light of [Christ to] the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; nor does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in heaven."*(AMP) As the Holy Spirit open our eyes again on this series, I pray for illumination in Jesus Christ name. Amen! As we all know that the importance of light cannot be over-emphasized, especially when we live in a world that is filled with darkness. Right from families then to the respectful community where we found ourselves. Now to the government, I mean, our leaders. So, I can say the world is in great need of light because darkness is almost everywhere. *"This is the message [of God’s promised revelation] which we have heard from Him and now announce to you, that God is Light [He is holy, His message is truthful, He is perfect in righteousness], and in Him there is no darkness at all [no sin, no wickedness, no imperfection]."*(I John 1:5 AMP) Christ being the son of God declared that He is the light of the world and that he who follows Him will not walk in darkness but will have the light of life. (John 8:12) Light is a condition of spiritual awareness. Man, naturally, is incapable of receiving spiritual light inasmuch as he lacks the capacity for spiritual things, 1 Corinthians 2:14 says; *"But the natural [unbelieving] man does not accept the things [the teachings and revelations] of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness [absurd and illogical] to him; and he is incapable of understanding them, because they are spiritually discerned and appreciated, [and he is unqualified to judge spiritual matters]."* The scriptures made us to understand that whatever light we possess, does not originate within ourselves. Our light comes from the Lord. It is a reflection of His. Take note, *Christian can only become light in the Lord. Outside Christ is darkness.* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
