*LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE.*(Series 5) *Scripture Reading:* Psalm 119:105 *'Your word is a lamp to my feet And a light to my path."*(AMP) Irrespective of how little your light is, Christ is saying “let it shine”. In your neighborhood, family, office, church and the world generally. Let the light shine in all your conduct, words and deeds, let them see your good work and glorify your father in heaven. To really make your light shine, it means: *1) To rescue the weak and saving the lost:* As God's children, One way to shine your light is by rescuing brethren that are weak in the faith and making disciples for Christ by teaching and preaching the word of God which the psalmist called light unto is path (psalm 119:105). From our scripture, God's word should be a lamp to your feet and light to your path. *This same light in you is to rescue and bring to their feet, the falling or weak brethren. One thing the light in you will always do, is to lift fellow believers up in spirit and in faith. But peradventure your light makes your fellow believers to feel inferior or condemned or rejected, then, it's no longer light. Definitely, your light need to be questioned.* There are souls to rescue for Christ. Let the light in you save others. *2) To Visit the Orphans and widows:* Christians can make their light shine by carrying this simple act which the scripture defined as pure and undefiled religion. James 1:27 says; *"Pure and unblemished religion [as it is expressed in outward acts] in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit and look after the fatherless and the widows in their distress, and to keep oneself uncontaminated by the [secular] world."* You can't claim to have this light and yet watch the fatherless and the widow suffering.
