Scripture Reading: Matthew 6:12

“And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors [letting go of both the wrong and the resentment].”(AMP)

4) Practice the truth you know: Another way to freedom is to pay attention to the truth you already knew and practice them. For example, Jesus Christ was teaching His disciples in Matthew 6 on how to pray as we can see it from today’s Scripture. But in verse 14-15 of the same book; “For if you forgive others their trespasses [their reckless and willful sins], your heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others [nurturing your hurt and anger with the result that it interferes with your relationship with God], then your Father will not forgive your trespasses.”(AMP). Meaning, if you fail to practice this truth of forgiveness, you will indirectly hindering yourself from being free from the bondage of sin.

Likewise, in John 15:12, Jesus was also teaching His disciples about His commandment on how to love one another. “This is My commandment, that you love and unselfishly seek the best for one another, just as I have loved you.”(AMP). This simply mean, if you don’t love your fellow others, you don’t love God. You don’t even know God. Or how will you hate your fellow brother you see and claim to love God you don’t see?

Also, God said in Malachi 3:10-11; “Bring all the tithes (the tenth) into the storehouse, so that there may be food in My house, and test Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you [so great] a blessing until there is no more room to receive it. Then I will rebuke the devourer (insects, plague) for your sake and he will not destroy the fruits of the ground, nor will your vine in the field drop its grapes [before harvest],” says the Lord of hosts.”(AMP). These are the truth you’re familiar with. You have listened to them even before you gave your life to Jesus and after you have giving your life to Him, you refuse to keep God’s commandments and you desire total freedom, how will that be possible? To be continue tomorrow morning by God’s Grace. Good morning and do have a great day, peace.

Prayer point: I have not been faithful to your commandments Lord, have mercy upon me and grant me Grace to obey your word in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
