*TOPIC: REPENTANCE, THE ACT OF BROKENNESS. (Series 3)* *Scripture Reading:* Acts 3:19-20 *"So repent [change your inner self—your old way of thinking, regret past sins] and return [to God—seek His purpose for your life], so that your sins may be wiped away [blotted out, completely erased], so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord [restoring you like a cool wind on a hot day]; and that He may send [to you] Jesus, the Christ, who has been appointed for you,"*(AMP) It is the joy of the Lord that sinners perish not and the door of repentance has been opened to all through Christ Jesus who brings salvation to mankind. Your part is to repent from all your wickedness and evil act. *And your genuine repentance will certainly results to your brokenness.* I started sharing with you yesterday, the steps that define your genuine repentance. I shall continue from where we stopped yesterday: *3) AVOID DEFENSIVENESS AND SEE GOD RIGHTLY :* Psalm 51:4 says; *"Against you, you only, have I sinned and done what is evil in your sight; so you are right in your verdict and justified when you judge."* Determine to see God rightly in the cause of your repentant! See Him as the only saving hand that can clean up your past. Stop giving excuses on your sinful act. 4) LOOK TO JESUS:* Acts 2:21 affirmed; The *'And everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’* Jesus is the only way out. Repent from all your sin, confess them to Him. *Whosoever that calls on Him will be saved! No matter the gravity of your sin, He will surely save you and your entire household.* You must accept the free gift of God and looking unto Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith. The free gift of God to all mankind is accepting His only begotten son (Jesus). Repent and Confess Him as your Lord and savior, then, carry your cross daily and follow Him.
