*TOPIC: MARRIAGE: GROW TOGETHER AS COUPLE.*(Series 8) *Scripture Reading:* Joshua 1:8 *"This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall read [and meditate on] it day and night, so that you may be careful to do [everything] in accordance with all that is written in it; for then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will be successful"*(AMP) *7) Be led by and Follow God’s Word:* When couples read God’s Word together and apply it to their lives, it transforms their relationship and establishes a firm foundation for a lifetime together. Just as God instructed Joshua that the book of the Lord must not depart from him because in it lies his great success. *Your marriage may be going through a difficult season, but there’s still hope. Your marriage can find life, peace, joy and happiness again. But it has to start with you putting Jesus at the center of it by daily studying and keeping all His instructions giving to you. Do what God tells you to do in His Word, and your marriage can start growing again.* Jesus is the glue for any marriage. When everything else is tearing you apart and you feel like giving up, he will hold you together. *8) Pursue your spouse:* The more you feed something, the faster it grows. The more you starve it, the faster it dies. Pursuing your spouse is how you feed your marriage. Just like a healthy plant has deep roots that help it withstand droughts, cold fronts, and all sorts of storms, a healthy marriage is deeply rooted in love, allowing it to withstand all kinds of conflict. Peter, one of Apostle of Jesus Christ reminds us of this writing; *"Above all, have fervent and unfailing love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins [it overlooks unkindness and unselfishly seeks the best for others]."*(1 Peter 4:8). So what does loving each other deeply look like? Ask your spouse what makes him or her feel loved. Then, do what he or she says. Be intentional about making your spouse your first priority after Jesus, remembering that what you feed with your time and attention is what will grow. If you want your marriage to be stronger than your career, feed it more than your job. *If you want your relationship to be strong after the kids move away, put it first in your family.* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
