Scripture Reading: Psalm 91:4-6

“He will cover you and completely protect you with His pinions, And under His wings you will find refuge; His faithfulness is a shield and a wall. You will not be afraid of the terror of night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, Nor of the destruction (sudden death) that lays waste at noon.”(AMP)

You don’t need to be afraid of that situation that looks great before you just as the psalmist declared. FEAR will always lead to a zero level no matter how careful he/she is. FEAR should not be part of our journey as christian, we are son and not slave.

Yesterday, we started looking at this topic and the word FEAR is mentioned more than 500 times in the Bible. And the Lord has not giving us the spirit of FEAR. 2Timothy 1:7 declare; “For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline.” But rather gives us the spirit of power, love and self-discipline to help in fulfilling destiny.

We shall be considering the effects of FEAR in the lives of believers:

1) Fear obviously produces anxiety, but it also create chaos in our lives and even affect those around us.

2) Fear stifles our thinking and actions. It creates indecisiveness that results in stagnation.

3) Fear hinders us from becoming what God wants us to be. When we are dominated by negative emotions, we cannot achieve the goals He has in mind for us.

4) Fear can drive people to destructive habits. To numb the pain of overbearing distress and foreboding, some turn to things like drugs and alcohol for artificial relief.

5) Fear steals peace and contentment. When we are always afraid, our life becomes centered on pessimism and gloom.

6) Fear creates doubt. God promises us an abundant life, but if we surrender instead to the chains of fear, our prayers won’t be worth very much.

What are you afraid of–loss, rejection, poverty, delay in Marriage, failure, sickness or death? Everybody will face such realities at some point. All you need to know is, God will not reject nor forsake you. To be continue tomorrow morning by God’s Grace. Good morning and do have a great day, peace.

Prayer points: Father, terminate the spirit of fear in my life today! The peace of the Lord shall occupy my heart in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
