Scripture Reading: Matthew 19:5-6

“and said, ‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and shall be joined inseparably to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore, what God has joined together, let no one separate.”(AMP)

Continuation from where I stopped yesterday. Still on seasons of Child birth. According to the above scripture, the man shall leave his father and mother to be joined to his wife, his helpmeet, his companion, his best friend, etc. And they shall no longer be two but one. Do you understand the scripture? Meaning, they must walk in unity, they must shared each other joy and pain, they must bear with one another, they must reason together as one, they must agree together on anything, they must persevere each other, they must tolerate one another, they must endure together, they must pray together, they must not lack communication together, they must fight together, they must win together, they must worship the same God together, they must love each other, etc.

If all of that take place, definitely, there will be nothing that should be a reason to divorce. When the purpose of a thing is not known, abuse is inevitable. You must understand the purpose of your coming together and pursue it with one spirit. Delayed child birth should not be a yardstick to be separated. Whatever delay you experience in your marriage is not the fault of your spouse as far as God is concerned. You have been joined in holy matrimony before God and men. This understanding must be in you that you both are involve in it together and you must wait and fight it to the end.

Our fathers of faith experience some delays in child birth but never divorce nor put away their wife. Abraham had never blamed Sarah for not being able to conceive but rather always pray to God to open her womb(Genesis 15:1-6). Also, Zachariah had never one day shifted blame on Elizabeth his wife for not being able to give him a child, yet they both keep on serving the Lord until they received the promise of God and John the Baptist was released to the family(Luke 1-11-24). Every delay you experience in your marriage is for a purpose, discover the purpose and wait patiently for God promises and all shall be well in Jesus Christ name. Amen! To be continue tomorrow morning by God’s Grace. Good morning and do have a great day, peace.

Prayer point: I receive Grace to take responsibility in my marriage and not shifting blame to my spouse. Help me Lord to discover your purpose in Jesus Christ name. Amen!
