*TOPIC: HANDLING SEX IN MARRIAGE.*(Series 6) *Scripture Reading:* 1 Corinthians 7:3-4 *"The husband must fulfill his [marital] duty to his wife [with good will and kindness], and likewise the wife to her husband. The wife does not have [exclusive] authority over her own body, but the husband shares with her; and likewise the husband does not have [exclusive] authority over his body, but the wife shares with him.*"(AMP) Continuation from where I stopped yesterday. Still on God's guiding rules concerning sexual relationship in marriage: *2) UNSELFISH CONSIDERATION OF YOUR MARRIAGE PARTNER:* The number one problem in marriage relationships today is selfishness. Women, a submissive spirit, a quietness is required if your marriage will work. 1 Peter 3:5-6 says; *"For in this way in former times the holy women, who hoped in God, used to adorn themselves, being submissive to their own husbands and adapting themselves to them; just as Sarah obeyed Abraham [following him and having regard for him as head of their house], calling him lord. And you have become her daughters if you do what is right without being frightened by any fear [that is, being respectful toward your husband but not giving in to intimidation, nor allowing yourself to be led into sin, nor to be harmed]."*(AMP) Selfishness is as a result of not submissive. Using sex as a means of punishment to your husband is against the Lord's will. No matter the situation in your home, always remember that your husband is your head and your Lord. Likewise, 1 Peter 3:7 declared that husband should dwell with wives in knowledge (common sense), unselfish consideration of a husband and wife should have for one another in all things, including sex. *"In the same way, you husbands, live with your wives in an understanding way [with great gentleness and tact, and with an intelligent regard for the marriage relationship], as with someone physically weaker, since she is a woman. Show her honor and respect as a fellow heir of the grace of life, so that your prayers will not be hindered or ineffective."*(AMP). To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
