*PRIDE AND ITS CONSEQUENCES.*(Series 5) *Scripture Reading:* Philippians 2:5-6 *"Have this same attitude in yourselves which was in Christ Jesus [look to Him as your example in selfless humility], who, although He existed in the form and unchanging essence of God [as One with Him, possessing the fullness of all the divine attributes—the entire nature of deity], did not regard equality with God a thing to be grasped or asserted [as if He did not already possess it, or was afraid of losing it]"*(AMP) Apostle Paul's message to the Philippians that they should possess the attitude of Jesus Christ and learn from Him. He(Jesus Christ) who didn't count Himself to be great, but humble Himself even to the point of death. *And as Christ ambassador, if truly we are representing Christ, then we must be like Him in everything.* The fact that you prayed and there was an instant miracle, is not a yardstick for you to change your name to Prophet or pastor sharp sharp (Baba kiibati, or ounje bi idan). Stop putting yourself into trouble, this is nothing but PRIDE in us. Yesterday, we started looking at subtle signs that shows you're operating in PRIDE. We shall continue from where we stopped yesterday: *4) Failure to see your own weaknesses but finding fault in others:* Neglecting your own problem and start condemning others of their own weaknesses. Always seeing fault in others while forgetting about he's or her's. *5) Attention seeking:* Always wanting him/her to be noticed in everything. Even though no one is actually paying attention, he or she will perform specially or create a scene to be noticed at all cost. *6) Manipulation to gain your own way and agenda:* Ready to do anything to have is way even though it will hurt someone else destiny. *7) Live a hypocritical lifestyle:* An inconsistent being. When your actions is different from what you claimed believing. *8) Rebellious:* Always going against the standard rules and ready to cause trouble amidst others. *9) Operating in selfishness:* Considering yours first before others even when you're not in need of it. You don't mind if it later waste. *10) Doing things for your glory instead of God’s glory:* Putting serious effort to achieve a goal to oneself and not to God's glory. And to everyone, believing is for God's glory but only you knows that is for your personal glory. To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
