*HELP AGAINST MY ENEMY.*(Series 2) *Scripture Reading:* 2 Samuel 16:20-21 **Then Absalom said to Ahithophel, “Give me your advice. What should we do?” Ahithophel said to Absalom, “Go in to your father’s concubines, whom he has left behind to take care of the house; then all Israel will hear that you have made yourself odious to your father. Then the hands of all who are with you will be strengthened [by your boldness and audacity].”*(AMP) Yesterday, I concluded by saying, to receive help against enemy is to receive divine support and intervention to conquer the enemy. Also Note this: *No one can receive help against his or her enemy except the Lord help him or her.* The scripture above reveal how David's son, Absalom conspired against the King together with some elders I'm Jerusalem to make Absalom king in replacement of his father David. They manipulated and apply all tricks even with his counselor (Ahithophel) to kill David his father and reign instead. *As Christians, it is very important to understand that most of our enemies were so close and not far away. And also, our battle is spiritual and we must know the tricks, devices, schemes, and traps of the enemy.* David in Psalm 59:1 cried to God for help against his enemy. *“Deliver me from my enemies, O God; be my fortress against those who are attacking me."* We are faced with enemies that does not want us to fulfill our purpose and destiny in life, hence we must stop them before they destroy, derail and even stop our innocent lives from fulfilling destiny. The Psalmist says that: "David called upon God to use His weapons of war and destroy his enemies in an unusual and horrible manner." The Lord indeed fought for David and turn the counsel of Ahithophel into foolishness. *"Now when Ahithophel saw that his advice had not been followed, he saddled his donkey and set out and went to his home, to his city. Then he put his household in order, and hanged himself. So he died and was buried in the tomb of his father."*(2 Samuel 17:23). May all the plans of your enemies turn against them in Jesus name.
