*PARENTING: TO TRAIN UP A CHILD IN THE WAY OF THE LORD*(Series 2) *Scripture Reading:* 2 Timothy 3:15 If you want to influence this world as a parent, the greatest thing you can do is to give your children a godly upbringing that will serve as the foundation for their future ministries. As Paul writes in 2 Timothy 3:15, *“From childhood you have known the sacred writings which are able to give you the wisdom that leads to salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.”* If I expect my children to love the Lord their God with all their heart, with all their soul and with all their mind, guess where they will be looking? My wife and I. *Our children are in desperate need of godly role models.* This is a great opportunity for parents, teachers, uncles and aunties to be those role models who demonstrate that they love the Lord with all their heart, all their soul and all their mind. *If I expect my children to pray, then they need to see me praying.* If they are not seeing me as a prayerlist at home, they will regards prayer as wasting of time no matter who is teaching them outside. *If I expect my children to love the Word of God and study it, They need to see that studying habit in me.* And if not, they will then regards Bible (God's word) as others literature books that you either fill like reading or not. NOTE: *You are the first role model for your children because whatever you do, they may pretends as if they're not aware but they know everything.* The reason why you must watch what you say or do with your husband/wife in their presence. *Whatever your children becomes, is as a result of what you are feeding them or introducing to their lives.* God will hold you responsible especially on how you train your children. They have magnetic brain and can easily store up issues in their brain. *What happened to a child of 2 to 5years can in one way or the other have great impact in his/her destiny.* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
