EFCC, DSS in Renewed Collaboration The Ag. Zonal Director of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, Abuja Zonal Directorate, Assistant Commander of the EFCC, ACE I Michael Wetkas, has called for stronger collaboration between the Commission and the Department of State Service, DSS. He said this while on a scheduled courtesy visit to the Federal Capital Territory, FCT Command of the DSS. Wetkas noted that it was important for him to seek collaboration from other law enforcement agencies following his posting to Abuja Zonal Directorate in March 2025. He noted the DSS as one of the key security and law enforcement agencies in the country and stressed that it was pertinent for the EFCC to strengthen the already existing collaboration with it. He recalled his experience as the Zonal Commander in Gombe and Lagos where he learnt the importance of collaboration between the Commission and the DSS especially in information sharing. "The meeting is for me to introduce myself and my team to you because in the course of this job, we will always be meeting and we need each other always”, he said. He further noted that the EFCC is open to a deeper working relationship with the DSS. The State Director of Security, Usman N. Dauda, who spoke through Deputy Director, Operations, Babangida Aliyu , appreciated the EFCC for the visit saying that the meeting was timely and also called for more collaboration on technical and operational levels. He also said that understanding between officers of both agencies can also be forged through social events to build better working relationships. Wetcas was accompanied on the visit by key officers of the Zonal Directorate including ACE I Adenike S. Babalola, Head Investigation.

Fear of Assassination: Iran’s leader Khamenei chooses three successors, skips son The Islamic Republic of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei has reportedly handpicked three potential successors in case he is killed during Israel’s ongoing military campaign — a revelation that signals unprecedented urgency inside Tehran’s highest ranks. According to an investigative report by The New York Times on Saturday, the 86-year-old Supreme Leader, now operating from a fortified bunker, privately named three senior clerics to assume power should he die during the conflict. The Times cites “senior Iranian officials” who say Khamenei made the selections after a string of high-level assassinations by Israeli forces. Significantly, Khamenei’s influential son, Mojtaba, long rumoured to be groomed for succession, was not included in the list. This marks a dramatic shift from years of speculation that a dynastic handover was being engineered behind the scenes, Jerusalem Post also reports on Saturday. “Khamenei has nominated three clerics as potential successors while hiding in a bunker… Mojtaba is not among them,” reported The New York Times, citing confidential Iranian sources close to the leadership. Meanwhile, The Jerusalem Post corroborated the report, noting that the Supreme Leader has also “selected replacements down his military chain of command” in anticipation of further Israeli strikes that could decimate his inner circle. Under normal conditions, Iran’s Supreme Leader is chosen by the Assembly of Experts — an 88-member clerical body. But Khamenei’s reported actions suggest he is attempting to shape that outcome in advance, potentially bypassing traditional structures to preserve his ideological legacy and prevent internal fractures. Analysts say the selection of three clerics, rather than one, reflects both a lack of consensus within Iran’s ruling elite and the urgency of contingency planning as the threat level escalates. While names have not been officially released, the report indicates the candidates are figures trusted by Khamenei and aligned with the regime’s hardline core. Implications Beyond Iran The move has immediate geopolitical consequences. With the region on edge following Israeli strikes on senior Iranian and Hezbollah commanders, the specter of regime instability could further inflame the Middle East. It also raises questions about the viability of Iran’s leadership structure should Khamenei be incapacitated. “Khamenei’s action signals a regime that sees the risk of decapitation as real,” said a senior regional intelligence official quoted in The New York Times. “It is succession planning not in theory — but under fire.” – At jaconna we support peace, follow us on Jaconna on all social media.

Kemitalk's stance on cross-dressers and homosexuals has been unequivocal. For two decades, I have maintained that I have no issues with homosexuals and trans individuals, having lived in North America for three decades and interacted with many. However, I must reiterate my dislike for cross-dressers. A controversy arose earlier this year between myself and the Igala people of Kogi state on Facebook regarding their comedians' practice of dressing like women to elicit laughter. While some find Aloma's skits amusing, others, including myself, find them irritating. It is hypocritical to condemn homosexuality while condoning cross-dressing. One does not need to dress like a woman to be humorous. In fact, one does not need to dress like a woman to be humorous. Again, one does not need to dress like a woman to be humorous. This issue has resurfaced with Portable, who is currently irritating me. I have previously addressed the issue of protecting young African children from the influences of Bobrisky and James Brown. It is contradictory to reject homosexuality as part of our culture while accepting cross-dressing. It is essential to discuss cross-dressing with your children, as it is not acceptable behavior.
