I must correct Mark Cuban's misguided assertion that I fail to surround myself with strong women. On the contrary, I have had the privilege of working alongside and learning from an array of remarkable women, whose strength and accomplishments know no bounds. Mr. Cuban's criticism likely stems from our past interactions, where I established boundaries due to his excessive and unproductive communications. His ongoing public disparagement reflects his own insecurity and lack of substance. EFCC Requests Trial of Former Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello in Absentia Over Alleged N80.2bn Money Laundering. The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) asked Justice Emeka Nwite of the Federal High Court in Abuja to proceed with Yahaya Bello's trial in absentia. EFCC counsel Kemi Pinheiro, SAN, argued Bello's non-appearance for arraignment should not hinder the trial, requesting the court to enter a 'not guilty' plea. Pinheiro emphasized the court's role in upholding justice for all parties involved. Defense counsel Michael Adoyi opposed, citing a previous court order requiring Bello's presence. Justice Nwite adjourned the case until January 21, 2025, for ruling and arraignment.
