*LET YOUR LIGHT SHINE.*(Series 7) *Scripture Reading:* Romans 12:2 *"And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]."*(AMP) Continuation from what it really means to make your light shine: *5) By standing out from the world:* To shine as a light, Christian must live a life that is distinct from the ways of the world while exhibit trait of transformation. According to our scripture today (Romans 12:2), the world system not necessarily mean to be our system. *The world pattern also not necessarily mean to be our pattern as children of light. And the fact that everyone, all churches, all marriages are doing it well even in the worldly pattern doesn't really mean they're right and helpful for your christian race.* Also 1Corinthians 6:12 says; *"Everything is permissible for me, but not all things are beneficial. Everything is permissible for me, but I will not be enslaved by anything [and brought under its power, allowing it to control me]."*(AMP). Don't be contaminated due to some worldly patterns which in one way or another have great negative impact on your light as believers. *6) By being bold:* Also, to be able to let your light shine as a Christian, believers must be bold. There is no room to be shy whether you are timid or out-going, you are called to be light to the people around you. *Believers are not called to be the light of the church but of the world. Not only in your choir unit, Sunday school class, Bible study class and on the pulpit you're asked to be light but to the entire world, let the world see Jesus in you.* Hence, to shine in the world, the Believers must be bold to have an influence in the world. In the marriage, education, society and in politics. Christians must let their light shine everywhere and every time. Proverbs 28:1 says; *"The wicked flee when no one pursues them, But the righteous are as bold as a lion."*(AMP) As believers that carries light, you must be bold to say the truth, you must be bold to reveal every darkness, you must be bold to take the right steps at the right time and you must be bold to face your giant before your giant face you.
