*TOPIC: REPENTANCE, THE ACT OF BROKENNESS. (series 6)* *Scripture Reading:* 2 Chronicles 7:14 *"and My people, who are called by My Name, humble themselves, and pray and seek (crave, require as a necessity) My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear [them] from heaven, and forgive their sin and heal their land."*(AMP) The Lord appeared to king Solomon at night after he has finished the Temple and offered sacrifice of thousands. The Lord said to him, I will make this temple my dwelling place and I will be with you throughout your reign as I have being with your father David if only you and my people will work in my status. Yesterday, we started looking at the characteristics of a broken person. I will continue from where I stopped : *4) BROKEN PEOPLE ARE FORGIVERS:* You don't need to seek forgiveness from them before you are forgiven. They possess a large heart to accommodate people and that is why they find it difficult to keep offences of others. *They easily let go no matter what they have done to them even without reporting to anyone.* Matthew 6:11. *5) BROKEN PEOPLE EMBRACE THEMSELVES IN THEIR BROKENNESS:* No matter what happens to them, they hold tight to themselves, encourage and strengthen themselves, No feeling of despondent and no depression at all. They accept whatever that comes out of their brokenness by the help of the Holy Spirit. *6) BROKEN PEOPLE ARE OPEN AND HONEST:* They understand that being honest and open minded is the act of genuine repentance and brokenness. *You can't be broken and dishonest at the same time.* Once you are broken by the Lord, everything about you take a new shape. Lying, unfaithfulness, deceit etc. will be the things of the past. To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
