*TOPIC: MARRIAGE: GROW TOGETHER AS COUPLE.*(Series 4) *Scripture Reading:* Colossians 2:6-7 *"Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in [union with] Him [reflecting His character in the things you do and say—living lives that lead others away from sin], having been deeply rooted [in Him] and now being continually built up in Him and [becoming increasingly more] established in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude."*(AMP) One of the way the devil uses to destroy marriages is to distract the couples to see things differently. *That's why wherever you see husband and wife living together and yet worship in different churches. The mother goes with the children to worship in her own church while the father also attend another church in the same city. THIS IS NOT NORMAL! Strategy of the devil to attack the family in the future.* The Bible says "they are no more two but one". There are many things couples can do to grow in their relationship. *But the most important choice you can make is to follow Jesus together.* One of the things that is helping my marriage is that, we both followed and we're still following Jesus together. I could remember during our courtship, even though it's not convenient for her most times, I still encourage her to attends some prayer retreats, marriage seminars, conventions and many more because I want her to believe what I believed, see what am seeing and grow as I grow. To God be the glory! It makes the journey easy for us today because we follow Jesus together. *You can do many different things to keep your marriage growing. You can show affection, act unselfishly, and forgive each other. But by far the most important decision you and your spouse can make in your marriage is to remain committed to following Jesus together.* Once Jesus is the one that lead and you follow, no matter the storm in that marriage, Jesus will always show up. Today's Scripture says; *"having been deeply rooted [in Him] and now being continually built up in Him and [becoming increasingly more] established in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude."* (Colossians 2:7 AMP). Both you and your spouse may have committed your lives to Jesus at some point, but you need to ask yourself, *“Are we continuing to live out our faith as a couple?” Is this how you both started your relationship? Flash back how you both use to be hot for God, and what about now?* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
