*TOPIC: DISTRACTIONS, TOOLS OF THE DEVIL AGAINST BELIEVERS.*(Series 8) *Scripture Reading:* Romans 12:2 *"And do not be conformed to this world [any longer with its superficial values and customs], but be transformed and progressively changed [as you mature spiritually] by the renewing of your mind [focusing on godly values and ethical attitudes], so that you may prove [for yourselves] what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect [in His plan and purpose for you]."*(AMP) *3) When you refuse to take God serious:* Another causes of distraction is this, as soon as you no longer regard God and honor His word, distraction will set in and you will begin to do the wrong thing in a wrong way. *The moment you pay no value to the things of God, you will have no choice to dialogue with the devil because someone must occupy your heart, either the spirit of God or the devil.* That's why today's scripture admonish us not to conform to the pattern of this world, rather, focusing on godly value that transform our lives. Romans 1:24-25 declared; *"Therefore God gave them over in the lusts of their own hearts to [sexual] impurity, so that their bodies would be dishonored among them [abandoning them to the degrading power of sin], because [by choice] they exchanged the truth of God for a lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever! Amen."*(AMP). God desire that we take Him serious and honor His word at all time. Knowing the truth and believing the truth at all time. But when the Israelites turn their back against God, and the Lord left them to the lust of their own heart. The moment the Lord, left a man to his lustful desire, that's the end of him because immediately, the devil will grab his heart and start producing negative results. Beloved, I encourage you to start taking the Lord serious in all your ways. Acknowledge Him and honor His word in your heart so that you can live. *Distraction is never far away, is very close and charming. Once you're capture by it, it takes the Grace of God to be totally free from its grips. Be connected to God at all time and the devil will be far away from you.* I will begin to show you how to overcome distraction tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
