*TOPIC: SUDDEN CHANGE.*(Series 6) *Scripture Reading:* Genesis 17:1-2 *"When Abram was ninety-nine years old, the Lord appeared to him and said, “I am God Almighty; Walk [habitually] before Me [with integrity, knowing that you are always in My presence], and be blameless and complete [in obedience to Me]. “I will establish My covenant (everlasting promise) between Me and you, And I will multiply you exceedingly [through your descendants].”*(AMP) This morning, I will begin to show you how to experience a sudden change: *1) By developing a relationship with God:* I have lived and studied to know that God is a covenant keeping God. And He doesn't rush in going into a covenant with anyone not until He had ascertain to the level of relationship with such person. *Sudden change that calls for celebration and good tidings don't just happen on the platter of your service, gift and all that. There must be a constant relationship between you and God to make it happen.* Remember that it was around seventy that God asked Abram to leave his father and mother to a place He will show him. A lot of things happened in the process and as soon as Abram clocked ninety nine years, God appeared to him and said *“I am God Almighty; Walk [habitually] before Me [with integrity, knowing that you are always in My presence], and be blameless and complete [in obedience to Me]."* I think you will need to ask a question here. Does that mean Abram had not been really committed and in true submission to God's will? It was after that instructions to Abram that there was a renewal of covenant between God a d Abraham. And that was the beginning of sudden change in his life and family as well even to his generation. *Don't be surprise, you may know God and that doesn't guarantee that you have a relationship with Him. Relationship is different from knowing. That's the situations of many believers today. We know God as the almighty but we do have relationship with the almighty.* To be continue tomorrow morning by God's Grace.
