No matter how genuine it is, love, by itself, can’t pay any bills. Marriage without love is bearable. But marriage without ability to pay your bills is unbearable. That is why some wives break their husbands heart. Many such husbands immaturely believe love is enough to sustain a marriage! But for non marital relationships, this does not apply. The only thing you should expect in a non marital romantic relationship is respect. All other things are bonuses. If they choose to pay your bills, that is a bonus. It is not a legitimate expectation. Once you understand that, you remove the tensions that make your relationships toxic!

If you walk with someone who walks faster than you, you are forced to walk faster to keep up with them. That is why you should always associate with those who are more successful than you.
